This website can help me know what I can do to eat more healthy. These are things that I can share with my family also. The Food-a-pedia helps me know how many calories are in the food that I am eating. I will use this website as a resource and guide to healthy eating.

This is a great website. I made a custom food pyramid for my son. I love it. It was very informational. I have used it for another class as well.

This year I started a garden in my backyard and I used this pyramid to learn more about the vegetables or fruit I was thinking to plant. Thanks of this pyramid my family enjoy safely the product that I harvest.

This pyramid is great, It doesn’t just tell us what to eat, but the portions that is recommended, and I like how its labeled as bigger triangles for the foods that we need to have more of, I like the idea of having that person on the side going up steps is encouraging us not just to eat but also to exercise.

I do like browsing this website and inputting different information and seeing the various amounts of nutrients needed for different types of people! I do think this revised pyramid is simpler to understand and gives you a better understanding of what YOUR body needs. Not everybody in America (like the old one depicted), but the amounts became personal. I really like this new approach.

I went to the website and loved it! It’s nice to see something set up not for the general, but specifically for me.

I have browsed this website many times, either for classes or for my own interest. Its such a great website and I am so happy with what they did with the food pyramid. However i did find the older model easier to fill in as i eat foods during the day.
I am really glad that nationally we are making some changes to how we treat our bodies. I truly feel that being overweight, and obese is an epidemic. If we don’t stand up as a society and stick together to promote change nothing will be done. I hope that more and more people can take advantage of this website and its resources to work towards being a healthier society!

This is such an amazing tool to help get any individual started on a better path to health and fitness. I have reviewed it before and this time I plan to have a Family Home Evening using it so each member of my family can check out what it is they should add or change in their own personal diet and how adjusting their schedule can help with finding an exercise routine that fits.

I like this website! My stress management class used this to show us how to work on our weight management. Honestly I never pay attention to what happens until I get depressed of being fat. Yeah that’s when I need to refer back to the new food pyramid chart!

I’ve used this website before to create food logs and it makes it easier to see how much you are eating and it makes it easier to make changes in your diet. Also, when you are writing down/recording what you are eating you become more conscious of what you are putting into your body. It’s difficult to start out, but once you do it’s pretty easy to add into your day!

Food logs for sue help! Even though you know what your eating–it seems to make a difference that you see what your eating in words rather than taste. Crazy!

The website was full of great information. I liked that there was an option to make a daily food plan. You can customize a food plan based on you gender, age, weight, height and activity level. I learned that it is important to have variety of colors (fruits and vegetable) in my diet. Fresh foods that are in season can be very nutritious. I especially liked all the helpful tips to make vegetables appealing to children.

I had forgotten about this site. I will have to get this started this week, before the holidays eating frenzy sets in! I think it is so great, this can be a very effective tool in helping to reach the goals we set. Being able to track and map out what is going to be a healthy change is so encouraging!

I have seen used this website for my nutrition class, and find it very helpful when preparing meals (especially for my growing children) and knowing how much of what we should be consuming daily. I am the busy single mom who works, goes to school, and raises three kids, and often find it easier to go grab a pizza or hamburgers for dinner, and I thrive off of sugar. My calorie intake is way off, and I need to take better care of myself and I find this a very useful tool in doing so!!
