Real Perspective from a Real Mom

Real Perspective from a Real Mom

Hey all you Aerobic-moms!

It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged, and this was just the thing to inspire me to get back to my keyboard.

This video clip was sent to me from my sister and it came at the perfect time. Maybe you feel overwhelmed by the constant wear of caring for little ones who need you so intensely or the daily grind of washing, wiping, and scrubbing that seems to go unnoticed. Maybe you struggle with the underlying anxiety of being unhappy with your body or physical appearance. Maybe we all sometimes forget that motherhood truly is a privilege, and it doesn’t have anything to do with how clean our house is, how beautiful our body is, or how much recognition we get. May we all recognize the gifts that are so abundantly ours.

Becky- I watched this video a couple of weeks ago and it totally put everything in perspective for me. Just when I think I have every problem in the world on my shoulders, I see others who have a much more harder situation than mine. I so so grateful for these moments when I realize I have so many blessings in my life and am very fortunate to be me and to have a loving, caring husband and two beautiful healthy children. Thanks for sharing this video. It is a great story. She is a true inspiration for me.

This lady is an inspiration to all. She really is my hero and although she may be unhappy with what she sees in the mirror, it’s a reminder of how lucky she is to be alive and sure she is living life much differently because of the extra time she has been allowed to live her life. It makes me greatful for my body even if I feel I have some imperfections.

This is absolutely beautiful. What a great example, brought a little tear to my eye. We are so blessed, no matter what our circumstance is. Its not what is on the outside that makes us beautiful, Its on the inside. I love when she says that being a mother is a privilege. We take so many things for granted, when people who have things worse than we do are so thankful. We are all so blessed. Every trial really is a blessing, and makes us stronger. We need to stop focusing on our imperfections. This lady is such an inspiration.
